School is out for the summer; however kids can keep their skills sharp while having a great time doing it.  Learning begins at home, and we are here to help (scroll to bottom for downloadable activity pages).  If your child is beginning preschool, continuing preschool, or beginning kindergarten in the fall, the interactive Gakken Workbook series–which helps kids develop the skills they need for success in kindergarten and beyond, makes learning fun, while preparing your child for the classroom.  The concepts are age appropriate.  Each book within the series is leveled according to age:

Ages 2-4 years

Let’s Create—shapes, counting 1-5, drawing and coloring, cutting and pasting.

Ages 3-5 years

Let’s Get Ready—handwriting, counting 1-10, mazes, matching, and sequencing.

Ages 4-6 years

Let’s Learn—upper and lowercase letters, counting 1-12, handwriting, andcomplex mazes.

Each activity in the Gakken Workbooks builds upon others to reinforce important concepts while gradually improving a child’s ability to reason, make decisions, and concentrate.  The books include reward stickers, project stickers, and a wipe-clean activity board.
